Whatever your session needs, be it sight-reading, solos, or on-the-spot-horn lines, Tracy has what it takes to get the job done quickly and professionally.
I have had the pleasure of working with Tracy both live and in the studio. Not only does she nail it on the first take, but her tone is amazing. Her improvisational solos always tell a story while fitting the mood and theme of the song. Whether sassy soul or smooth and pretty, her sound is amazing. I recorded her on my album “Put It On Me” and she brought every track to life. She worked efficiently and intelligently with the trumpet player to layer harmonies to build the perfect horn section. Tracy is definitely my favorite sax player.

I had the opportunity to work with Tracy Ferrara on my score for the film, “No Refunds.” The score was a “demonic game show” theme with lots of fast, syncopated 16th note rhythms, and Tracy read it down perfectly. She consistently nailed everything on the 1st take, while doubling on soprano and tenor saxes and doing multiple overdubs. As a result of that session, Tracy is now at the top of my “first call” list for saxophonists.

Sax quartet piece from “Heart Breaks Open”:
Tracy is an amazing saxophonist to record. Her skill and intonation are irreplaceable. Whether it be sight reading or improvising to a chord chart Tracy will add life to any recording she is on. Her wide musical knowledge and soulful approach is a must for any producer or songwriter looking to occupy the tenor and baritone ranges. In addition to being a great musician Tracy is also very easy going and fun to work with.
